SOFTBALL COACH SPEAKS ABOUT SEASON

First grade teacher JoEllen Travis is also Head Coach for the girl’s softball team. This past season was a very good one as the team came within one win from getting into the state tournament. Travis stated that only two team members graduated, so the prospects are good for next season. Over half of team members were named to All Conference teams and some were honorable mention on State teams. Coach Travis said the pitching was outstanding during the season and both regular pitchers will be back next season. Additionally, there could be a third good pitcher coming up. With so many summertime opportunities, Travis noted, she is never sure who will choose to play softball. However, the next season should provide some excitement for all.
